I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but this stay absolutely deserves one. I was in Sterling Heights to spend time with my son, and this trip meant more to me than I can really explain. What made this experience stand out wasn’t just the room or the amenities—it was the people. From the moment I checked in, the staff treated me with genuine kindness. Not the kind that feels scripted or routine, but the kind that feels real. Throughout my stay, every interaction—from the front desk to breakfast—was warm, welcoming, and sincere. At one point, I needed to extend my stay so I could spend more time with my son. The staff went out of their way to help make that happen, and that extra time meant everything to me. It’s not something I’ll forget. There was also a moment early on where a staff member handled a very difficult guest with total professionalism and composure. Later that same evening, after I mentioned I had heartburn, she went out of her way—completely unprompted—to bring a cup of milk to my room so I wouldn’t have to go to bed uncomfortable. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare, and it really stuck with me. Coming back to the hotel each night could have felt lonely a

Loves this place and they were so nice and helpful! It seems they are going through renovations so there were a few things not 100% and we had our chair just fall apart while my sister was sitting in it, but staff was very helpful in addressing the situation and getting us another chair. They have a workout room and a pool for guests. The breakfast is amazing and they offer waffles you make yourself along with fruit, eggs, meat, coffee, and juice. Overall great experience and it’s close to everything! Food, shopping, and entertainment making it an ideal location. They’re obviously doing renovations to improve so I’m not going to go too hard on that. The service and room was great.

There’s renovations & construction going on so maybe that’s what contributed to the wet moldy smell when you enter, and on the elevators. The first room I was assigned was either still occupied or never cleaned. There was someone’s luggage and garbage still there, and the bed/bathrooms were all messy. The receptionist was nice enough to offer an ”upgraded” room. The hotel overall looks pretty outdated so I hope that’s what renovations are for. As an HH member overall this is my least favorite of the Hilton chain, but appreciated her service
